The Website Design Process

Our overriding objective is ensuring that your actual and potential customers can find the information they need. This generally entails meeting with you, learning something about your business, and agreeing on a strategy for connecting you with your actual and potential customers.

Once we and you have agreed on a strategy, we generally try to re-use as much as much as possible of your existing publicity material - brochures, photos, programs, and so on. We can and do scan in your existing text and images. However, such material almost always needs to be modified to fit the structure of the Web.

We design our sites to be easy to use and cost-effective. If esthetics and 'cool' are important to your business, we'll provide them. If not, we'll keep the site simple and save you money.

While we are developing the site, we keep a copy in our temporary web space so you can review it and make suggestions for improvements. If at any time you decide that the site isn't going to work for you, just tell us so. We'll remove the site and you owe us nothing. Once you do approve the site, we can either host it ourselves on a permanent basis or help you find a home for it in a webspace of your own.

We charge a flat $45 per hour for all consulting, design, scanning, and publicity activities relating to your site.
